It's my time to praise the sun!

With a bucket on my head and a sun drawn on my chest, I'm ready to embark on an adventure - Dark Souls: Remastered has been released today.

The game was first released in 2011 and became a classic among many. From what I hear, it had many bugs - especially after it was ported from consoles to PC.  Most of these bugs were not fixed by the developers, and the game was considered somewhat abandoned. These days, this remaster has had plenty of controversy surrounding it - it seems that this remaster almost exclusively has visual and  performance improvements, but most bugs and other problems were not changed at all.

I have never played this game. A few months ago I got Dark souls III as a gift, and I couldn't put it down. After struggling to beat it once, and then joyously running through it another time, I decided to try another one of the games in the series. By then, the remaster was announced, so I decided to wait for it to come out and I got Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. It was a different experience, to say the least, but I loved it just the same.

I'm happy for the remaster, even if it's only a visual and performance upgrade. This game has an online element to it, and without the remaster, I would've played this game in a mostly empty world. Now, I'm going to get an experience that would be closer to what the game was in its peak, years before I even heard about it.

Many people would claim the first Dark souls is the best one, so I can't wait to take a deep dive into it.
